Weekend of Hospitality, Friendship, Unique Encounters in Luxembourg

Last weekend was one to remember. It took me on a journey past our special guesthouses, meeting incredible people and hearing stories that will stay with me for a long time.

We started at our castle – Château de Clémency – where ten young people gathered for a very special reunion. Ten years ago, they first met… in a refugee camp. Each of them came from different places, each of them began their journey as a refugee, and all of them have since built a new life. And they succeeded! A decade later, they are still close friends, and they chose our castle to celebrate their unique bond. What an honour it was to welcome them and hear their inspiring stories.

From there, we travelled to Beaufort, where one of our guesthouses is located just a short walk from the region’s oldest nightclub. A cheerful group of locals decided to stay the night after a fun evening out, enjoying the convenience of not having to drive home. The next morning, I met them – still buzzing with energy and full of laughter as they shared their party stories.

Next stop: Vianden, where four young friends were staying at one of our charming houses. An international group, who first met during their studies in Leiden and reunited here to celebrate their long-standing friendship. It’s always heartwarming to see how deep connections travel across borders.

To end this busy and beautiful Sunday, I visited a wine tasting in Caves du Sud, together with Internations. Once again, I found myself surrounded by wonderful people from all over the world. We shared wines, exchanged stories and finished the day with a relaxing walk along the scenic Moselle river.

Later that evening, when I finally returned to Céline’s Loft, I found our guests sitting peacefully on the steps with a glass of wine, winding down after a day spent in Luxembourg’s beautiful nature.
